Our cause

Despite passionate protests and overwhelming disapproval from Utahns, the 40,000 acre mega data center project is still being considered. Backed by multi-millionaire shark Kevin O’ Leary, the proposed data center would be built in Box Elder County and would cause irreversible damage to our environment. The electricity it would take to run would consume more than double the entire state’s current peak usage. Established comparable data center use millions of gallons of water to cool their systems. Utah has already been experiencing a “megadrought” for over 20 years. Not to mention the detrimental effects of our Great Salt Lake drying up. We refuse to let this happen. Our goal is to keep the conversation going, provide practical actions to take, and fund conservation efforts.
